Cinco De Drinko!!!

It's Cinco De Mayo!!! (insert el grito del Mariachi, aka: Mexican war cry)

Today's post is inspired by our second favorite Cinco De Mayo tradition (first favorite being the food!)....MARGARITAS!!! We'll begin our post with a super cute and easy DIY drink garnish, the Papel Picado Straw and finish with this delicious Jalapeño Mango Mint Margarita recipe!

You'll only need a few supplies for this project and you may even be able to use your left over tissue paper scraps from our previous Cinco De Mayo inspired post!

-Tissue Paper (1.5" x 4" strips) -Straws -Scissors -Glue Stick

Gently smooth out any wrinkles in the tissue paper to create a tighter seal around the straw.

Fold your paper flag in half and maybe even in fourths, then cut out your shapes.  It might be easier to use small craft scissors for this job but, as you can see here, our bulky kitchen scissors are working just fine! Another great idea is to use stationary hole punches that come in different shapes and patterns! You can easily purchase them at any local craft/stationary store.
